Invitation

Welcome!
It is our pleasure inviting you to the 10th International Symposium on Ultrasonic Characterization of Bone (ISUCB).

The Symposium will be held from September 18 to 21, 2024 in Shanghai, China.
It is our honor to host this symposium and to bring together academic and industrial researchers from all over the world to present scientific advancements in the ultrasonic assessment of bone and other musculoskeletal tissues. For the first time, the ISUCB will be held in Asia to open new horizons in bone quantitative ultrasound, to inspire new ideas and to initiate collaborations.

Shanghai is a famous historical and cultural city in China, located in the Yangtze River Delta of the East China coast. Shanghai is the most populous city in the world, with a population of more than 24 million. Shanghai has been described as the booming economy of mainland China, renowned for its Lujiazui skyline, museums and historic buildings along The Bund, City God Temple and the Yu Garden, etc.

The Symposium aims to exchange the achievements and experiences from scientists, engineers, and clinicians in the field of Bone Ultrasound. The scientific program topics include theory, modelling, signal processing, multimodal imaging, therapy control and treatment techniques in the field of quantitative bone ultrasound from the microscale to the whole body, from simulation to in-vivo application, from small animal to human, etc.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Shanghai in 2024!

Very sincerely,

Dean Ta, Mami Matsukawa

You may apply for student travel support if you are a student, and you are both, the primary author and presenter of an accepted paper (see the conditions below for details). Your application must include
  • a copy of a valid student ID (B.Sc.,M.Sc., or doctoral program)
  • a brief statement detailing your need for the Student Travel Support and a letter of support from your supervisor along with your application
Applications for student travel grants will be closed on August 21, 2024.
Notifications of decisions will be send out on August 31, 2024.
